Australian construction quoting software

The tradie quoting app that works from your own rates

Speak the job on site. Quote King drafts the lines from your rate card, and you check the numbers before anything is sent.

AI drafts need your review. Pricing comes from your own rate card.

Tradie building a quote on a phone

Quote before you leave the street

Most tradies do their best thinking on site and their paperwork at night. Quote King moves the drafting to the moment you are looking at the job, so the quote is mostly built by the time you are back in the ute.

You still check it. Quantities, prices, GST and markup stay yours to confirm.

Your prices, not someone else's

Set up your rate card once with your labour rates and common items. Quote King matches quote lines to it, so your quotes stay consistent from one job to the next. It does not pull live supplier prices.

  • Voice to scope and AI descriptions on the Tradie plan.
  • Your logo on branded PDF quotes.
  • Stripe deposit links on the Tradie plan.

Better than the kitchen-table spreadsheet

A spreadsheet will not turn a spoken walk-through into lines. Quote King does the first draft, which leaves you the part only you can do: checking it against what you saw.

Pricing for tradies

The Tradie plan is $49 per month in Australian dollars. A Free plan lets you try the core workflow first.

Hypothetical example: a switchboard upgrade

An electrician stands at a meter box and says: 'Replace the main switchboard with a new board, eight circuits, RCD protection, new surge protection, test and label, exclude any rewiring and any work on the neighbour's supply.' Quote King drafts labour, board, protective devices and testing lines, matched to the electrician's rate card.

The electrician reviews. Is eight circuits the correct count? Is the board priced each, and labour in hours? Are there provisional items, such as extra circuit breakers if the existing wiring needs it? Those are the checks the tool leaves to you.

Scope inclusions and exclusions that protect you

Most quote disputes are about what was assumed, not what was priced. Write inclusions and exclusions on every quote, even for small jobs, and call out items clients often expect for free, such as removal of rubbish, making good plaster or paint, or return visits.

Where a client insists on a quantity you cannot verify, price it as provisional and say who bears the difference. Check your state or territory rules on written quotes and contracts for your trade.

  • Rubbish removal: included or excluded?
  • Making good after you finish: included or excluded?
  • Permits, approvals and compliance certificates: whose job?
  • Provisional items: what is assumed and who pays if it changes?

Compared with a spreadsheet at the kitchen table

A spreadsheet is fine for a few repeat jobs. It strains when every job has different rooms, units and exclusions. Quote King drafts from what you say on site and leaves the checking to you, which is where your experience matters.
