Australian construction quoting software

For suppliers and subtrades responding to builders

When a builder using Quote King needs your price, the request is structured so you can answer clearly and the builder can use it.

AI drafts need your review. Pricing comes from your own rate card.

What a price request is

A builder building a quote can ask a supplier or subtrade for a price on part of the work. The request describes what is needed so you are not guessing from a one-line text.

What Quote King is not

It is not an inventory system, a stock feed or an ERP. Quote King does not publish your catalogue or live prices. It supports the back-and-forth of responding to requested prices.

  • You decide what to quote.
  • The builder reviews your response in their own quote.
  • No pricing is guaranteed by Quote King.

Why it helps you

Clearer requests mean fewer clarifying calls and fewer mismatched assumptions. If you want to discuss working with builders on Quote King, email us at info@quickrooms.au.

Hypothetical example: a timber supplier

A builder asks a timber supplier for a price on framing timber and sheet material for a small extension. The request lists lengths, grades and quantities. The supplier replies with their own prices, noting that the price is valid for a stated period and that delivery is extra.

The builder then uses the response inside their own quote, checking units such as lineal metres against sheets, and marks any quantity still uncertain as provisional.

Answering requests clearly

The best replies are specific. State the unit, the quantity the price assumes, what is included such as delivery or cutting, how long the price holds, and any exclusions. A builder who can compare like with like quotes faster and with fewer errors.

If a request is unclear, ask. A short question now saves a mismatch later.

  • Unit and quantity the price is based on.
  • Delivery, cutting and handling: included or extra.
  • Validity period of the price.
  • Anything excluded or subject to availability.

Boundaries

Quote King is not a catalogue, a stock system or a live price feed, and it does not guarantee any supplier price. Your response is your own commercial offer. Questions about how this works for your business can go to info@quickrooms.au.
